    Hi everyone,

I'm one of the proud owners of an Aorus x3 v3 with which I'm very happy about thus far.

However, I wanted to know if any of you had encountered the same issues as I do when it comes to trying to overclocking the 970m?

As my temps are quite alright right now when full charge (~75C), I wanted to try an overclocking software to play around a little bit and see how much extra perf I can get.
However, I've tried MSI afterburner, EVGA Precision, Zotac Firestorm or ASUS GPU Tweak and with none of them could push the GPU core or memory to any more (or less) Mhz. It looks like the mhz clock is completely locked and nothing can be done at all - and can't even do the +135Mhz Core O/C for instance.

I'm on the latest BIOS FB05/FD05 and on windows 8.1 64bits, and I'm wondering if this is not the BIOS that blocks the GPU or something. From what I'm reading online, it looks like other laptops brands featuring a 970m were able to be overclocked.

Lastly, I noticed that XOTIC PC, one of the US reseller of this laptop, is selling it with an "GPU Redline Boost Overclocking" option, which definitely leads me to think this is somehow possible.

In any case, thanks for letting me know your thoughts and experience on this if any!

    Thanks much!

Probably custom vBIOS running on the other brands.
