My GF and I each have an Aorus X3 V3 - hers has Win8.1, I have win7. Both machines experience constant wifi issues. They don't lose signal, but constantly lose 'connection' on wifi. Tested on multiple networks that are known-good (other devices don't have these issues). I get the feeling Aorus is stumped as to what's going on (I've seen on forums the earlier generations have this issue as well) because support hasn't been very helpful.

I'd have to recommend avoiding these machines until Gigabyte/Aorus acknowledges and fixes this issue.

This is one of the first questions I asked @LVNeptune. I recall him saying all was well. This was my 2nd biggest concern after temperatures. Can @daza100 or Nep chime in on this.

I've had zero issues with my WiFi on 2.4/5.8 bands. It actually works better than the 7260 in my Alienware which has constant issues. FoH can you confirm you have a thermal pad on your WiFi adapter on the V3? There is one on mine.

imo the 7260 cards are terrible. downgrade you wifi card if you can. intel 6235. i cant suggest the 6300 because it has 3 antennas. but ive had 7260 ac and 7260 N. they are both junk. i have to mess with the edit not to lose much spike in gaming, and i do get connectivity issues.

i think its really unfair to slate the brand if you owned both model laptops thats supplied with same wifi card and not compared it to another brand with the same card to see if it really is the brand or the card.

I'll do some inspection of the wifi cards. It's really hard to pin down the issue because the connection cuts out but it shows ok in the system tray. Weird thing with the wifi is it works fine on some networks, and other networks, drops a lot. I wonder if it depends on the spectrum.

Another annoying thing: the key coating on the keyboard wears off very fast. my keyboard already looks years old despite being weeks old...

On the plus side, it's stupid fast and runs all my games at 3k (and the screen...so pretty...my precious). I kinda wish the price was a few hundred more and the quality a bit better. I'd pay 3k for this hardware + super high quality fit and finish.

yea its a duff card. thats why they released the 7265 from what ive read on it. but ive only seen them in m.2 ngff form. i just purchased a laptop and it comes with it but im already eyeing up something else. i dont have my hopes up with the wirless and that before ive even recieved the laptop. all i can do for now with it is tinker with the regedit and stop it from spiking in online games.

as for the keyboard, thats quite surprising. it sounds like you really like it to own it twice despite what you disliked about it. i wish did own the x3 v3 but wasnt ready to overspends imo of £250 difference from v2 -v3

Mines flawless I suggest uninstall every wifi and LAN drivers. And run dell utility and autodetect the correct drivers if that does not work go into your router and change band to 5g or 2 and it should fix your problem.

    I'm using the latest.

Has anyone else's palm rest and keyboard already been destroyed by regular use? It's like whatever finish they used is eaten away by normal skin oils...

...Disabling itself? That's not the same as what is happening to everyone else. It should either just drop the connection or not work at all. Try a driver update from Intel.

I don't think it's an Aorus problem, I beleiev it's an Intel problem, Intel should fix this
