I have been using a 1080P 60 HZ TN for 7 years on an MSI GT Laptop Matte and now I switched to a new Aorus 15p KD with Sharp LQ156M1JW03 IPS panel currently running it at 60HZ too but I have been getting Eye strains, red watery eyes and headache at the back of the head similar to pain I experienced with a Sony Bravia KDL 40 inch which I gave away. There is an option to buy an external TN from legion 1080p 144hz TN, could switching to it reduce eye strains and pain? I want an external monitor as close as possible to my MSI GT60 0ne from 2012 I will link the external monitor https://support.lenovo.com/eg/en/solutions/pd500334-lenovo-g24-10-monitor-overview-and-service-parts
Is that monitor similar to the TN I'm used to or do you have recommendation for improving the aorus 15p IPS, I tried night mode which reduces blue light and set it to 50% thanks for reading all this

Now that you mentioned it, I remember I experienced the same as you when I first bought it, but that didn't last long, I guess just till I got used to it. And tbh I blamed that to my lack of sleep, I didn't know that was a thing.
I'm using Night mode too, it does help a little bit.
