When I use High Performance power plan from Control Center my laptop crash about 15 min while playing games like RDR2, Metro Exodus (high GPU usage games) or some games I have sound cracking... AC Valhalla, Outriders.
I think I have same problem like Diego:

I don't know if laptop has that it since new, because I recently started to play more on it.
I have same sound problem:
My laptop vid crash 5:00.
Another restart 1:40
For fix this problem is changing power profile to Balanced (windows default or control center app).
Same fix here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/aorus-15p-xc-audio-artifacts.835872/
My laptop came back from rma - Repair status: vbios flashed - reBAR support, Stability test - Furmark and Haven any problems found...
Another fix is change in power profile PCIE Express bus for maximum level of energy saving (balance mode have this default).
You thinking something with power profiles is wrong?

I have the same model and find the same problem with the high performance battery mode (audio artifacts). I'm wondering how much performance is lost using balance. Do you have any idea?
-
You won't lose anything if You don't want switch profile to Balance just edit Smartmanager High Performance profile and change Power Options > PCI Express > Link State Power Management -> Maximum Power Saving.

My 15G had this same issue and I returned it over it. 17G has not had the issue but I also have been running in balanced mode with this one. Glad it got figured out because I thought it was some hardware issue and I was not going to go past my return window to find out.

I will wait, maybe some updates will change something. If not i send laptop back for RMA.

I found solution! Is a very strange thing we cannot use laptop on cooling stand/pad (without cooling pad fans)! In this way we obstruct air flow and laptop is hot in the middle! I put a piece of glass under laptop and is stable for over an hour on high performance profile with pci express link state OFF and laptop is cool in the middle!
You can see in the video, gpu now reaches 84c but is stable! Earlier my laptop crash when gpu reach 78c...
Laptop simply "sucks" in upper part of air through the keyboard and if it has free space from the bottom then it does not do it and something is overheating...

Can you explain this more i have mine on a stand and suffer from high temps
-
I have my laptop on a cooling pad with fans active and I do not experience any high temperature even when running highly demanding games (laptop fans stay relatively quiet too).
Placing any laptop on a stand without airflow would definitely cause high temps. Maybe that is what's happening to you.
