Aorus 15G YC with 3080 Just got this laptop and quite happy with it ,few things to sort out likw why control center only shows older drivers , and how to stop thermal throttling in COD, i use a usb type C dock with a 34" and a 24" screen dock is a Club3D CSV 1460, i noticed yesterday whilst playing cod that for some unknown reason both the intel and the Nvidia card were working.

Check in nvidia panel to which connectors you have screens connected. Without mux switch built in LCD always is connected with intel gpu.

On my aorus 15P i don't see intel gpu in nvidia control panel when i use mux switch. I don't know if G has mux switch.

All drivers You can download manually form other sites like intel, nvidia etc. Control center show only drivers from gigabyte site/server

Hi yes the 15G does have a muk switch, and my Intel goes out as well if I use it , I thought that it was suppose to change automatically when playing games?

The USB-C port on Aorus laptops is wired to the integrated graphics so the laptop will continue to use Optimus. You would need to connect to the mini-DisplayPort and/or HDMI to have direct access to the dGPU. The MUX only affects the built-in display.

I use a Club3D docking station which has a built in display link https://www.club-3d.com/en/detail/2426/
Which is plugged into my usb type C
To my dock I have two monitors both display port connected it all works fine apart from it not switching to the nvidia card when playing games
