So my brother-in-law got me Aorus X7 V6 laptop as a present. It's been a mixed experience.

    A) The hardware is mostly fine except for the display. Screen flicker is terrible. Pulse modulation makes the monitor a pain to use at anything less than 75% brightness. I can barely read for 5 minutes without feeling tired. The metal bezel is not in line, it looks about to peel off, I have to keep pressing it in. Other posts show that it is just stuck on, it is not held in place by screws.

    B) The keyboard cannot dim or brighten the screen. The Function+ (F1, F2, F3, F4) do absolutely nothing unless I install bloatware Command Control software, which is a joke (the software causes display anomalies). Can't Aorus program the keys to work right out of the box like all the laptops at work?

    C) The driver download page is outdated and conflicting. For example: the main download page has FA05/FB05 BIOS dated September 18, 2017. There are some drivers. A so-called resource page has FA06/FB06 BIOS dated February 10, 2017, and has more drivers. This is so confusing.

    D) The online support forum is 99% spam. You can't get any proper responses there from users. You can forget about official Aorus employees.
