I haven't seen a thread for this so I figured I'd create one. To that end, below I've copied and pasted pertinent links.
Personally, based on what I've seen so far, it is looking pretty good to me. My hope is the re-designed chassis allows for improved thermals but only time and reviews will tell. The aesthetic is simple and understated which I've always liked about the series. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to read on Gigabyte's website that they are using Thermal Grizzly paste on these machines.

Above all, i'm curious to see that triple fan cooling system and if it will be in all the new model configs or only in the big money ones. Regarding the redesign, am i the only one kinda bothered about the charging port and TB3 being on the right side?
-
Cooling should definitely be better on this model. It has air vents pretty much everywhere. I can also see they updated the keyboard the edges of the keys looks more smooth compared to the older one and the spacebar icon is in the middle instead of at the left. However to me the older model looks more classier/professional. This one looks a bit more gamery Lamborghini esque. Still looks nice though especially the back. Also not sure if this panel is glossy or not. I am also not really digging the grill above the keyboard and the camera switch.. -
I'm glad they finally made a 17" version. With how small a thin bezel 17" laptop is I'm sure there is a good demand for them. Especially those of us with aging eyes. The added vents on the back and side are also very welcome. A bit mixed on how I feel about it as it has a very Aorus look to it in the back. I'd like to see a tear down so I can see the heatpipes. That was probably one of the smallest cooling solutions I ever saw on a laptop for awhile.
Should be a much better jack of all trades laptop with those upgrades though. -
One thing that disappoints me with the new keyboard is they appear to no longer have the secondary symbols/hotkeys backlit. To me that's a massive failure, as it's the less used key functions I'm more likely to want to visually check the position of.

The styling seems like a step back to me.
I think they should have used their "gAmEr StYle" for the AORUS machines, and left the Aero range as something a little more business-like.
Not that they look bad. They just look a little Clevo-esque in my mind now. -
Found these videos. If anyone understands and could translate a few nuggets of knowledge, it’d be appreciated.

Anyone know when the silver one will ship? Might want to upgrade from my current as I'm getting more involved with making and editing 4K videos.

Still miffed about Gigabyte pulling the Aorus X9 DT from production last year.

So Far I have had my Aero 15 OLED i9 2080 64gb 2tb since July 8th, repasted with thermalright tfx and temps are pretty decent, R20 I max at 89c fans normal mode, I hated the old keyboards but love this one.
Gaming is also fantastic, so this one for sure will be my main travel laptop and the Area 51m and Dekstop will remain my at home gaming systems.Attached Files:

I actually prefer the look of the original chassis. Not a fan of the new top outer panel design (other than the sweet Aero logo replacing the Gigabyte one). Luckily it seems they still offer the older chassis in the Aero Classics line.

Just got an Aero 15 OLED and ... I am so disappointed about fan noise !!
I would be interesting about your feedback on this. Does this fan noise looks as what I should expect about this laptop when it's idle?

There is a high freq sound really painful to my ears...
If so, I will quickly return it! -
