I wanted to start a thread to talk about fan control but I will probably have more questions and there is no general Aero 17 (2020) thread so I'm opening it.

First I would like to say a bit of positive and negative things about laptop. I have KB version with i7-10875h, RTX2060 and UHD HDR screen.

+ screen - for sure this is no1 thing on the laptop. I don't use laptop for gaming but work and having UHD with such a good quality is really nice. I have other 2 UHD screens with good quality (Acer XB321hk predator and LG UK650W) and I don't feel this screen is much behind. Actually I feel picture quality is very similiar to LG.
    + build quality, sturdy case
+ keyboard typing experience and layout. No small keys
    + no thermal problems
    + thin bezzels

    - fan speed spikes
    - fan sound too whiny
    - keyboard whine (I read people have problem with this.. for me only space button makes whiny noise)
    - one thing I would change is lid design.. to be simpler, without those black lines

Now to talk about this fan control.. I tried all the default mods and I still get fan noise when I watch some movie, open tabs or other things like that which don't take too much CPU power. I checked in CPUID HWmonitor and even though temperature was not over 70°C, fan still starts to spin pretty fast.
I am thinking to make my own profile, where fan would spin at some low audible speed until it gets to 75°C and then start to spin fast. What do you think?

Second question I have is about these CPU and GPU mods.. what do they mean? (eco, normal, sport, sport+, boost for CPU and maximum/turbo for GPU? Always keep?)

im thinking about getting the Aero 17" i7-10750H/RTX2060 model, did you notice if there is a way to run in discrete mode from bios? (not optimus)

I didn't find any advanced options in BIOS.. it looks the same like BIOS in my computer 20years ago..
