Flashing a gtx 1070 bios onto a gtx 1070 max-q.
So I'm just wondering if anybody had done this with the aero 15x v8. Is it foolish?
I'm wondering how much the vrm's can handle and for how long. does anybody have that spec?
so Caution to the wind i flashed away
I found a NVflash with bios certs disabled and a 125w bios that flashed.
cmd prompt with the command "nvflash.exe -6 biosname.rom" a few warnings later bios flashed.
Rusults- the card clocks to 1800mhz stable and just over 1v on the core without overclocking and shows 120w ish of power consumption that's 30w over the stock bios
Unplugged it clocks to 1400 @ .800v so unplugged it now has more performance than stock plugged in
The performance gain is noticeable there is no throttling no buzzing temps are up 5 degrees or so but still like 80 max i do have liquid metal also have lapped and balanced the heatsink so keep that in mind
i would like to know if anybody else has played with this and exploded there vrm's? And if nothing else i can be that example of what not to do with your aero 15x look forward to responses
Little update +200 on the core bounces between 1911 and 1850 + 700mem. Several hours and some benchmarks later i scored a 16432 in firestrike #13 of people with a max q
http://www.3dmark.com/fs/21745601
Another update. Performance increase in massive but i must return to stock until i have the patience to flash it with a spi programmer to unlock the voltage slider
With the 125w bios It occasionally freezes and reboots i am assuming OCP of sorts. Besides that one of the inductors has gotten a slightly bubbled look so 125w is just too much for the vrm's long term.

Which bios did you use? i can get a try, shouldn't be dangerous since it will boot with intel HD so i can always reflash original one i think, may you help me a little unleash this monster? i had the same laptop but with a 2060 before (1 month ago) and flashed a strix 2060 laptop bios with higher TDP and unleashed +1000 points in time spy (6700 point, which is actually same as 2070 max q best out of there... so i think i can do the same with 2070 max q pushing it a little bit futrther... i'm assuring temps are keeping down using cooling pad, thermals pads and liquid metal, plus undervolting CPU, so temps are ok, i'm on latest bios, upgraded to 2 SSD's at 3000mb write and read speed and 32gb ram 16x2 in dual channel... so unleashing the 2070 max q power is the last thing i have to do but can't find a right bios out there.... any hint? would appreciate it a lot, will post this to your thread but also if possible to private message -
espmic86.
The Bios i used Wont Work for you if you have an RTX 2070 max-Q Card I have 1070 Max-Q.
Besides That even if you Keep it cool The Vrm's Will not Tolerate it very long They Just arent rated for it. Pull The Datasheets for your mosfets and see for yourself
That being Said you Will Need a RTX 2070 mobile non max-Q Bios
or Preferably a hard flash With a Programmer With your own modified Bios That has a Carefully calculated TDP Suiting your Vrm Setup -
In fact I fhasled all bioses of max q even 9o and 100 tdp and +300mhz but still gets same result and gigabyte as main vendor like this cannot be flashed even flashing goes ok but main values (vendor and max tdp) aren't changes so even with msi razer Asus and so on I get still 6700 timespy and same frequencies under testing , still using afterburner strangely overclock works within the gigabyte tdp and can get over 7000 timespy.
Still, if a want a default setting with changed bios with 100w minimum tdp and +200 at least clocks for base and boost clocks, the only solution is to modify my bios and flash externally with a programmer?
Would you help me modifying the bios and buying the programmer and learn fastly how to flash externally? I made all mods possible, rams, ssds, raid, liquid metal, thermals pads everywhere, changed MOSFET and rams and cooler pads with thermal grizzly ones, undervolt, cooling pad, temps and performance are max, modding is max, but I can't tolerate a razer blade can get 100 w on the same card which still is max q, can't tolerate that I can't even use that bios, so, as a final step and mod, I would love to accomplish to make my 2070 maxq a full operative card, since it stays 65°C under stress at only 0,6-0,8v I want to push minimum at 1v with +300mhz stock reaching at least 100w tdp, if this requires externally bios flashing I will do it but this would be the first time for time, time to learn, would you be my teacher for this first try?
Edit: even if possible this chip stated and revision name is a max q design, I think it can be overrides as a 2070 standard? Same chip? Even if board I'd mismatch would it work forcing? I can both use a max q bios , or to transform to a full 2070 if it's the same chip after all, but I didn see anyone doing any flashing (software or hardware) on any aero 15 oled... This is strange cause many people did it with 2060 model and it works easily just flashing Asus strix 2060 laptop bios and job is done with nvflash and you get +1000 time spy, strange no-one accomplishe or tried or found a solution about the 2070 ax q version, can't even find people talking about it
Btw I thought performance were close to desktop version, but I recently made a 2060 super desktop and gets 9300 time spy with 9600k at 5.1 andghz 10300 timespy with 9900k at 5.1ghz, so even if the 9750 at 4ghz full cores is better in results of 9600 which is 6 cores no hyperthrrad versus 9750h 12 thread 4ghz (operating at 45w, while the 9600k only 6 cores no other threads requires 1.35v 125watts real usage and is slower than 9750h in cinebench test, so the processor of this laptop is actually a GOD, this means that the performance of rtx 2060 and 2070 max q actually sucks since they get around 6000 and 7000 time spy versus 9900-1000 of regular 2060 desktop, so this means, since the gpu chips are actually the same with same CU and cuda cores, and since temps and voltages are ok, and since vrm should handle easily 0.8v and 1v, I think it's MANdATORY to get this mobile gpus as close as a desktop version untill they are under safe temperatures and voltages and consumption and we have a lot of margin according to actual testing and results, so why not doing it? Minimum goal must be 8000 time spy modding the 2070 max q, Will be accomplish this goal as a mission to accomplish? I think we can reach that resultLast edited: Feb 19, 2020 -
It's likely you arent finding any info on it because people are scared of seeing a new 2k$ laptop let out the magic smoke. A desktop gpu has 6+ mosfets and inductors for just the gpu core our laptops have 3 including the one for the ram so this is highly not recommended
For external flash you will need a usb eeprom programer. It Can also be done with a raspberry pi with linux installed or a handful of other sbc's
If you are lucky then you can use an sop8 test clip attached to the programer. Otherwise you need to remove the chip
You will need to extract your bios with GPUZ or similar and set your desired TDP with mobile Pascal tdp tweaker and flash your custom bios
But wait Nvflash cannot flash a modified bios so this is where the programmer comes in to play
use an sop8 test clip and attach it to the chip. It's under the heatsink and has vbios printed on the pcb next to it attach the other end to your desired programmer. Try to flash. If it fails then desolder chip and try again should flash this time but will need to be removed to flash every time if that's the case -
Actually nvflash flashes the bios, I must try modding it with Pascal tdp tweaker, j flashed already ten bios and notice the difference, just the tdo remains forced , but gigabyte vendor remains but all the rest changes including speeds etc .. probably it flashes but not all parts are written... Useless to make an external flashing with risk to smoke it, for what? +10% performance?
Nvflash is not risky, MOSFET are enough for 110w power limit, even if bios is not good and card gets broken you just boot with intel iGPU and reflash original
There is no risk at all using nvflash and all bios and to use from 80 to 110w TDP if we find a way to flash, the risk is only using external programmer.
Also actually gets 7200 time spy which is good (well, 2gb more then 2060, this is the only real plus, because modded aero with 2060 was performing 6700 time spy so the cards are close.... The point in fact is that modded 2060 is up to 90w... Here stock 2070 is 80w and considering more cores the frequencies are even lower will never go up... So a minimum of 90w is required (as razer and msi do) to justify the choice of a 2070 max q over a 2060, otherwise they perform exactly the same... The plus is that aero oled is 4k and 2gb vram more are the sweet point for gaming at 4k, the card can do it, 2060 sometimes gets limited from the 6gb of ram.
Btw, best laptop every best monitor ever, best performancer ever, best cost ever (you can find oled 2070 version for 1800 eur), same performance and nicer and cooler things even compared to razer msi Asus and dell Alienware which will cost for the same hardware minimum 3000 eur.
2x2TB NVME 970 Evo plus in raid, thunderbolt 3 4x full speed, best uhs-ii as card reader, smallest design and compact, you out inside 32gb of ram and make undervolt and repast with liquid metal both CPU and gpu, put thermal pads, put on a cooling pad, use wireless Xbox elite series 2 pad, wireless hs70 headset with nahimc astonishing surrounds , g602 wireless and wireless keyboard, plus oled quality no input lag and deep black perfect angle vision and satisfaction after mod with low temps and low fan speed... This is the most exciting purchase in ten years and the best buy of all laptops of all the times.... Best workstation and for all uses.
Thanks gigabyte z the nice thing is that this is way better of their aorus model which should in theory be for gamers.... This is absolutely the best laptop in the world at the best affordable price.
Yeah I know, what does this concern? Nothing , just excited for it having since 2 days and had to share this excitement ... Will pass in 24 hours ahahhaha -
Ps can this be possible? Got stable with a -0,280v undervolt full 4ghz at only 0,9 in cinebench stable, only 55° ... I ve seen people going maximum -0,150 / -0,180...
This laptop never stops surpring me holy **** -
-0.280v is more than I have seen and likely not as stable as you think. Cinebench is not a suitable stability test try Occt or intel burn test
"Actually nvflash flashes the bios" yes because you have not modified the bios you used a stock bios for another laptop.
"Useless to make an external flashing with risk to smoke it, for what? +10% performance" exact same thing could be said about nvflashing another OEM's bios.
external flash is no more risky than using nvflash it does the same thing just bypasses Wright protections and allows you to set exactly the tdp you want. external flash is only for a custom modified bios edited with mobile Pascal tdp tweaker because those wont flash with nvflash.
Honestly I would flash the system aptio bios and unlock that. So you can undervolt from the bios along with other goodies and then toss xtu or throttlestop
I would leave the vbios alone because OEM's dont put headroom in laptops they build them to the required specs. It's not like the system will just shut off if it dosent like it. it will overdraw the mosfets and they will degrade quickly and just stop working. You can do as you please but I went back to stock after some testing because I had no doubt it wouldent last long. It took 30min to bubble the top of my inductors with 125w bios -

(keep attention to northbridge, it reaches 100 degrees everywhere), cooling pad, fresh windows install, windows optimization and many tweaks, gigabyte control center tweak, must use it so that PL1 on GPU will push 100w on GPU as per vBIOS otherwise hardware only will limit to 90w, must use AI gaming azure download and upload feature, it will help A LOT (i didn't belieave it), do not use killer software, install ethernet and wifi with intel drivers, do not use touchpad drivers, install elan drivers. -
added a CRAZY TEST
100w modded bios full overclock, running 4k 8xmsaa burn in furmark, cinebench R20, cinebench R15, memory mark, AS SSD benchmark on two ssd, transferring files, intel stress test AVX2, all together, pc doesn't throttle, doesn't shut off, windows is responsiveness and temps never go up 70 degrees for both cpu and gpu with my latest settings, undervolt, modding and bios, got an improvent so consistent in performance and it's impossible to get the system on his knees........... i've never seen such a champion in laptop history... even my desktop shut down if i run furmark + two cpu stress test and a memory test together... or at least temps go up to 90 degrees.... this is a laptop, performs better then a pc, many cores in multithreading and an insane test and the cpu doesn't even go down of 1 mhz and not up of 1 degree....
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING AND UNBELEAVEABLE

If the GPU is at 80 degree, I guess your CPU is reaching 90 degree and become throttled when playing games.
I undervolted gpu to run at [email protected], which seems to be a sweetpoint for me. -
Totally wrong, if CPU is at 80 degrees after 2 hours 100% load avx2 r15 r20 me test furmafk data transfer decoding encoding all together, it means it doesn't even reach 60 degrees while gaming even in 4k. Which I can confirm after gaming 4k re2 and TSOTTR max was 63 C. Fully 4ghz all cores all time and no throttles (that's why you get 3150 points in r20, because it's stable all the time at full speed and low temps in avx2).
Anyway, how do you undervolt the gpu? I see my GPU is always at 0,85v (or 0,75 can't remember), but can't do anything with afterburner... If it keeps frequencies at lower voltage means I can use the 100w tdp for higher frequencies so better performances, but how to undervolt? -
I fact I was replying to thread starter @ TheGuiltyFlea since I am also using x8 with 1070max-q. I think there's no need to flash the bios if the gpu can run at 1800mhz without hitting power wall.
My point is that, you can get nice temperature with heavy load on CPU or GPU, but can't if there's loads on both of them. And because CPU has smaller die size, it should always be hotter than GPU when there's workload on it.
Your are using newer model, 2070max-q is 12nm turing, so it may have different restriction on voltage compared to 16nm pascal 1070max-q. I remember the definition of GPU power consumption is also different for turing.
I suggest not run too much benchmark at the same time, they may not reduce the actual workload since CPU need to switch between different benchmark apps and may find some possibility to halt. Running (furmark) with (AIDA64 FPU only) should gives you the maximum workload. And the temperature is also relative to you room temperature.
Anyway, the new model redesign the cooling system and it is much better. I am not very suprise about your result. -
No temp throtle here. Honestly I 3d printed a cooling pad that uses a reference 970 blower fan that sucks air from under the center of the laptop and forces it into the laptop fans so temps are good as long as you have good headphones
mine wont let me overclock to 1800mhz let alone stay there on the stock bios. with 125w it clocks to 1800mhz to start with and can overclock to just under 2ghz and stay there with both cpu + gpu max temp 80c.
I am waiting till I feel compelled enough to use my spi programmer to flash a custom rom. I dont like relying on msi afterburner to apply my undervolt being i dont find it to be 100% reliable every bootLast edited: Feb 21, 2020 -
Not properly like this, beleave cooling sucks on new model as on oldz CPU always throttles stress gives more then 90 degrees, CPU goes down to 2000... You need liquid metal, thermal pads everywhere a cooling pad, undervolt CPU and a good vBIOs with good settings for fixed footage in afterburner (mine is 1710mhz at 0,75v +400memory).
Then you can stress with 70 gpu and 80 CPU together without hitting throttle wall or decrease frequencies z considering the small form factor this is a miracle but needs a lot of tweak.. out of the box it's it's totally useless for gaming, throttling stuttering, hot air and sometimes crashes. But after tweaks it becomes better then blade and alienware... Still the 2070 cannot reach full 100 or 110nwatt but best you can do is using a 90-100 range bios, the range thing is controlled by main bios so if you flash a fixed tdp vBIOs it won't work well, you need two range point so that gigabyte integrated hardware system recognise the first as gpu0 and the second as gpu1 and when you are under 100% lo load it switches to gpu1, also no way to make it fixed on gpu1z it's dynamic from insides, till someone time a tweak method... And so far this is the only bios with a range tdpz that why I don't get full 100w results because sometimes it goes to 90wz but still way better then original setup -
i found my sweet spot being from 1500mhz at 0,70v and 1600mhz at 0,75v with rams at 1625mhz reaching 100w full power this way and consistency in temps and frequencies, created a fixed voltage flattened curve in afterburner, this was should work better, never go above max TDP and have a better consistency and a better user defined higher "minimum frequency".
What's your sweet spot with RTX 2070 MAX Q? Should i consider these findings as good enough or should be room for some improvenets more? The only think i can't really do is to higher the TDP and use other vbios but as the user of this thread said, aero is a tiny laptop and very probably we can never have good vrms enough to give more power, 100w is already maxed out....... i would love to have FIXED 100W but it looks like gigabyte aero allows only a range from minimum TDP 1 and maximum TDP 2 (in this case 90w and 100w, and there is no way to lock it, the PC defines where and how it must limit at 90w even if there is no load and no high temps sometimes it limits the card at 90w, probably when VRM are too hot? who knows... would love to find how they limit the max TDP in the main bios, which values or hardware they consider to to limit it and how... if this card would run always at 100w it would be perfect... this range cannot be overriden with or without gigabyte gaming control center installed or not, it will switch from TDP1 to TDP2 on his own, even you click on TDP2 in control center, it goes to 100w but when aero decide it's time to go to 90w it drops the card to 90w, and this is still an improvement because originally it was 80w-90w, this is the only bios i could have improvements, all other fixed 90 and 100w bios doesn't work, fixed 110 and 115w bioses runs always at 115w consuming power but frequency never go above 325mhz due to some limit they put in the main bios and hardware regulation probably... would really love some programmers and experts to find out how this machine work and to unlock this limits... at least to run a full 100w gpu all the time, even at a risk, but just for science to know what the laptop is actually doing by hardware or by software or bios to limit the card
anyway this is my curve, anyone with a better result? i think 0,75v is somehow the sweet spot for everyone at highest frequency for a 90/100w card.

the nice thing is that now the cards runs minimum 200mhz above the maximum boost clock, as close as to a normal 2070, but flattening the curve GPUZ shows like if the card is underclocked, but real measurements in hwinfo show insane clocks at a low voltage and low temperatures, take a look

This is my GS65 with 1070 Max-Q flashed to a full 1070 mobile.
Test was done last year April.
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/37306322
However, afterwards I've ordered a skypro and do bios mod instead and I'm using the power slider to control the wattage now.
But now I'm doing only 100W max because of the temperature. -
I agree with your spi flashing method and 100w max and will be doing the same when I have an excuse to remove my heatsink again so I can get to the chip. That way I can flash my100w bios with sliders unlocked and wont have to rely on software holding back a 125w bios.
Hackness please tell me how your ram is so fast in your 3d mark score. Do you have a tutorial? -
I've tried limiting frequency to have it run under 100W when I was cross flashing vbios before I started doing the power slider mod. However, the downside is the highest frequency is forever stuck at that speed even when the workload isn't heavy.
For the RAM mod:
1. First of all, you need to get your BIOS to show the Overclock menu (Unlock BIOS).
2. Follow the tutorial here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...advanced-version.823065/page-13#post-10898033 -
Thanks I will have to play with that. My bios is already unlocked. Mostly dident want to have to pull the bios chip again when it dosent like the settings. It dosent seem the aero 15x v8 is able to reset the bios and it recognizes 2 bios chips when its attached to the board so it's easier to just desolder it flash it and solder it back on lol
-
This is after all useless since all vrms are tested max.for 100w tdp and also cooling system will never do it.
Official 1070 and 2070 full specs are 170w, 1070 2079 maxq range from 80,90,100 and max 115w, all bios flash ends with hardware limiting tdp as forced by bios manufacturer and it doesn't work properly , example I flashed on rtx 2070 a 115w bios, all is recognized it constantly gives 115w usage at max 300mhz at 0,6v and never raises temps cause hardware is limited and bios go crazy cause doesn't understand and communicate well with vBIOs, from what I can say there is no risk flashing even wrong bios, even different boards, it just won't work, in some cases will get unrecognised hardware and giving 0mhz and GPUZ doesn't red it well, just reflash stock bios.... Example, Alienware 2070 in area 51m is a full sized laptop with 170w thermal cryo design and can handle it, if you flash on M15 r2 which max go to 100w it will probably flash well, just go crazy vrm, bios limits to 100w anyway, and even if it works you will get 110° and even 115 w and burn everything... Just useless to try to do it for whatever manufacturer... Will never work
Also consider difference is marginal, example? I get 15.000 firestrike and 6500 timespy with 100w tweaked 2070max q.... The best twekead area 51m with 180w full 2080 (2080!!!!!!! 180w) makes 8500 timespy and 18500 firestrike... Same goes for msi ge65 and 75... All other 2070 maxq from Asus and hp and razer make even worse (zsame results of 206p rtx max 6700 timespy and 13000 firestrike)... So in my opinion just use a 1070 or 207o max q in a thin laptop trying to get max 100w and temps under control with CPU undervolt, thermal pads, liquid metal, gpu curve at sweet spot (usually from 0,75 to 0,8,v and the maximum frequencies for each voltage step for a 100w design) and you get the max out of any laptop producer (actually 15% more for a stock 9750h and 2070maxq, as close as to full 2070 and even 2080... Really no need to go over and prefer and this and cold laptop maybe with oled 4k display. If you look at my updated results in my drive you will get astonished... Just as close as to a 3500 eur area 51m and better of all razer blade 17 pro and M15 r2 and hp omen... Better then all, 4k oled at only 1800 eur with a 2070max 512ssd 16gb ram? You use the extra saved money for 32gb memory and 2x2tb ssds and liquid metal and thermal pads and make undervolt and vBIOs flash and tuning and you get a 300% times more loaded workstation with more memory and space and a real winner as desktop replacer with difference that it's still tiny and small and with best of the best screen... Just for comparison my 3500 main rig with 9900ks and 2080ti all oberxlocked and 32 GB rams at 4000mhz low cas gets just the double in each score and game... Which is useless in 1080pz. And prefer to play on laptop everywhere, noticing that laptop makes max 100w gpu and 50w CPU still has the same power of my desktop which costs the double and makes 200w CPU 380w gpu... Not considering space and extra to buy mouse keyboard monitor speakers etc.... The aero 15 2019 oled line is an absolute winner and reap horsepower workstation gaming station at a fraction of cost, just need some tuning.... Tomb raider shadow version heavyest game at the moment played with RTX ultra shadows all maxed out and you make 66fps average? Even MSI ge65 9sf which was the winner of all gaming laptop makes 58 fps in that test and with highest preset not maxed as my test... Really... Tested all laptops, aero 15 oled tweaked 2019 line is the best for everyonez even pc gamers...
Really looking at my review and drive pictures everyone will get surprised, even an Alienware area51m 2080 rtx user will get pissed off .. also considering how beautiful at thin aero is and the fact that has the best keyboard and full size and best touchpad among all of these (after installing proper drive) also consider m15 r2 even uses still 2400mhzz here we have 2666... No way...
Also ending up that more than 100w vBIOs in thin laptop is useless so just stop trying, just get it tweaked getting the maximum out of your 90w or 100w
Updated screens... Just amazing testing and review

Also the increase in score is only around 10~12.5% in Fire Strike when taking from 80W to 100W for the GS65 1070 max-Q.
At least in my case, I won't go more than 100W for long term use. -
Just an example of real gaming and real power, to see how a smal cost still tiny laptop can be better of a huge 3500 model with 2070 full or 2080 full, look at the following:
1725mhz real clock graphic card and 1650 MHz memory (6600mhz GDDR6 or 13200 MHz gbps as reported in standard specs).
100w card, CPU always at 4ghz all cores, other drop to 3,3ghz, full card of 170w drop due to heat, and they are also noisy, this say chill with no fan noise
Temps never go over 70°C even with super clocked and performing CPU and GPU with CPU always at 4ghz 12 thread 6 cores.
And you get more than 100fps with highest preset test that all reviewers do for shadow of tomb raider and more than 66 average fps with maxed out graphic all effects on a effects moved to ultra over the highest preset and manually set anisotropic at 16x and with RTX shadows set to ULTRA, screen below, this is something even a desktop can't achieve and we have this at overall system power consumption of 150w, look at afterburner stats on screen to get the meaning of this words... Really can't say more... Even an area 51m due to high heat and big case and cost and watt usage and overall similar performance can't stay at competition with this, considering that it's one of the few real 4x thunderbolt 3 laptop where others limit it to 2x without saying it and also this has the fastest uhs ii reader... Really no words guys

got final tweaks done and final astonishing result as pure as a full 2070 and as good as a double prices alienmare area 51m with 2070 or 2080... still in a tiny laptop never drops under 4ghz all cores and under 100w gpu, never throttle, temps never above 73°C both cpu and GPU... crazy, really no words, was able to perform even better of my previous already amazing results.
This is official, the best gaming laptop for enthusiasts, creators and gamers is the aero 15 oled, just some tweaks, which is nice to do for people who like it, and no laptop comes really with a perfect setup so even costly dell's must be optimized by users.
Shadow of the tomb raider is set to highest preset, then activated all effects, moved all extra things on ultra, moved AF to 16x, RTX shadows on ULTRA, all effects maxed, DLSS on... normally in the tests around they just set highest preset and don't add these extra feauters, even though this test surpassed all best laptops test... this is really a 4K gaming desktop closed in a tiny laptop.
Just to tell, i got a pc with 9900KS and overclocked 2060 Super which makes THE SAME SCORES, but consumes 4x, noisy 4x, and cpu goes to 90°C, and it's a full sized desktop... this is a small tiny light laptop... no even need bigger gaming laptops with better cooling, can bring this everywhere and have same performance of 4000 eur laptops.... cannot say nothing more, just look at the updated screens... all screens and infos and files uses can be found on my drive -
Pretty nice for such a small laptop, my sff desktop scores about 29k in firestrike for gpu.

Thanks I got it for I think it was 420 usd? It's been a while and frankly I haven't bought a new pc since phenom 2 lol
Yeah 29k firestrike seems to be my limit but that's at 320w.
I wish I could throw on a 3 slot cooler lol, really wanted to go accelero but I put 2x 15mm fans below the card and seems to woke well and also works as a brace so no gpu sag.
But again quite nice on the aero. Me and a friend always wanted one but it seemed like a lottery to get a nice one without issues. Especially since at the time they were between revisions so most of what was left was returns and stuff like that.
Aero 15x v8 bios flash to full 1070
