    Hi,

New owner of an 8th gen Aero 15W. I've got an odd issue when I plug in headphones, the speakers are still on. I went into the Realtek utility and checked the settings and it does show that when you plug in the headphone jack it should turn off the speakers, but it doesn't do it.

Now the strange thing is that after I plug in the headphones and If I go into the realtek utility and toggle those settings around, eventually it will work, but it does not do it automatically. A very odd issue i've never seen on any laptop before.

I've searched around and been unable to find a fix, hopefully someone has experienced this?

    Thank you!

First thing to do would be reinstall your realtek driver and dolby atmos along with it.

Installed the latest versions of both from Gigabyte's website, no change.

When you are in realtek, there is a text with "Device advanced settings", if you click on it a window pops-up, make sure the setting is set to "Mute the internal output device, when an external headphone plugged in."

Have you tried this already? Hope it helps!

I actually had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and roll back to the previous windows 10 build. I’ll keep the “Mute internal output device, when an external headphone plugged in” ready in case it happens again :) do you know if the keyboard input lag and non registery will be fixed with an update soon?
