I've been noticing that my Gigabyte Aero (approx 4 months old) is slowly not charging to full. This happens with both the OEM charger and the third party charger that I am using.
Currently it is sitting at 79%, says it is charging. but it will not go over 79%.
Is this a common issue? Anyone found a fix.

I think there is a setting in the bios for primarily desktop usage. This setting doesn't charge the battery fully which extends the life of the battery by reducing voltage pressure on the batteries internal cells.
-
Which is a good thing if I recall my LiPo behavior correctly from A/C aircraft. It's a bit different chemistry and charging circuits than Lithium-Ion.
-
In your smart manager, did you set the battery to custom?
-
Lithium ion is ths same chemistry as a lipo. Just one is in a cylinder and the other in pouches.

Looks like I learned something today. I thought the electrolyte was different. Looked it up and "nope". Thanks for the correction.
-
yes, you could check if the charging setting has been altered in Smart Manager
-
Np you could be mixing it up with an actual polymer battery that researchers are working on.

I'm not. I should be honest about my misconception. I had thought that LiPo had a different chemistry affording higher energy density suitable to flight platforms.
