    Hey guys,

Did any of you experiencing your Aero 14 suddenly turned off and cant be turned on? I left my laptop yesterday while charging it, and it turned off by itself. When i try to turn it on, its power button and power indicator only turned on for several seconds, screen was still black, no fan is revving, and then it shutdown by itself. I try to hold the power button for several seconds, but it was nothing, same pattern. It even didn't enter the Gigabyte splash screen. As far as I remember, I'm not messing with the system/BIOS setting at all and my Aero 14 is only 4 months old.

I searched the internet, they say the BIOS could be corrupted, but you need to remove back cover and battery to reset it. I afraid it could void my warranty since there is 2 screw with black sticker (I think its a seal). I am planning to bring it to service center, but is there any attempt I could make to fix it? I searched Gigabyte support but found nothing, their eSupport also haven't replied my email.

    Thanks.

Some laptops have a pin hole on the bottom that you can press to perform a hard reset and disconnect the battery.
You could also try unplug the laptop and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds and see if that will make any difference.
I wouldn't disassemble the laptop. Wait for Gigabyte to respond to your email/call them.

I searched every inch of it, apparently my only hope is the power button. Some articles suggest pressing the power button with Fn, Del, F2 or any other key to reset the BIOS, but none worked for me.

I have the same issue. I also pressed power button for more than a minute. I see some LEDs changing, but no fan noise, nothing on the screens. It doesn't seem to be a problem with power button since it changes LED status. I should maybe test the power supply to be sure it's still giving enough power...
    Did you find anything ?

    Wow!
(I think) I have exactly the same problem.
My Aero 14 (7700HQ, 1060GTX, about 4 months old) had been working perfectly fine - then I moved it from one table to another and started playing PUBG.
Mid-game, the fans revved up and the laptop turned off.
For some bizzare reason, it turns out, my laptop was no longer taking power from the adapter nor charging the battery, although it detected the power adapter (which made it use GPU / CPU at normal power levels on battery until that gave in).

After this event, the laptop was able to charge really sloooooowly one single time (which allowed me to identify the non-charging battery as the culprit), and has since quit any interaction due to its emptied battery.
In its last "waking" seconds, it would turn on the screen, show Gigabyte's logo and turn off.
I left the device plugged in (hopeful that it would charge) for almost 24 hours, but afterwards it would only turn on the LEDs and almost immediately turn off again.
Seeing that the battery might just be dead, I decided to unplug the battery (by opening up the laptop) and try powering the device via its power adapter - but still no sign of life, it didn't even twitch.

I have since posted it for repairs and am still waiting for my device to return home :-(

Your issue could have a lot of reason ... i got a similar issue on a P37X and that was caused by a defective Ram that abord the Power On Self Test. You could try to remove one of the ram and boot. If the issue still exist exchange the ram you removed and the ram that are in the laptop and retry.

I determined that it would be a defective circuit on the motherboard related to the power supply.
After sending it in and waiting for several weeks, I finally received my repaired device with a new motherboard.

The tech ape that I am, I decided to have a look inside and found (imho) the MOSFETs that are above the CPU/GPU to receive almost no cooling.
This could result in overheating MOSFETs that might end up failing, which would in turn prevent the power circuit from operating the way it should.
My workaround for the moment is to generously repaste with K5 Pro and add some thermal pads on top of the metal bar (that is part of the cooling unit and meant to keep the MOSFETs cool) to apply some pressure - that should reduce the distance between the cips and the bar which should in turn improve the heat dissipation to that tiny cooling unit.
But that is just a guess ;-)

I am afraid that it could void my warranty
I think what you said is true because before this problem occurred my laptop tend to over heat in an absurd way I neveneexperuexper it before any way i am sending it to service center

Is this a problem exclusive to the Kaby Lake 7700HQ model? I have a Skylake 6700HQ/1060 model and I seem to have the exact same problem. How long did the RMA procedure take for all of you? I am located in the northeast USA if that makes any difference.
