    Aero --2060 vs 2070-- and --FHD vs 4K IPS--

    Hello everyone!

    Recently I got my Aero 15 XA classic (regular 144Hz screen, not IGZO). The security seal is broken, so I will probably be returning it.

    I wanted to ask for your experience with the machine. Did someone have an opportunity to compare the performance of the RTX 2060 and 2070 Aero? I want to know as I am considering to purchase the 2060 version (WA-U74ADP) instead. I saw comparisons to other machines with this GPU, but not the Aero.

    The reason is the screen. I am considering to buy a 4K UHD IPS 60Hz version (and the 2060 is much less expenssive, the 2070 with 4K isn't affordable for me) instead of a FHD IPS 144Hz version. This as it's probably crispier, and (according to online info) brighter, and has pretty significantly bigger coverage of the different color spaces (and the 144Hz doesn't sound like a must, am I wrong? Is it much better to play with 80 or 100 FPS instead of 60?). But, it seems that the 4K screen's response times are significantly slower and result in noticable ghosting.
    Can anybody confirm this? And did someone have the chance to see both screens (and maybe directly compare) and remember how much were any differences noticable?

    IMO 4K on a 15" screen is almost a complete waste.

    If you were going to hook up a 4k monitor, then I'd go for a 1080p with 2070.

    4K gaming on a laptop rig isn't the greatest from what I've read unless you get up to the 2080, which gets even more spendy.

    My 2070 runs 1080p at 120Hz like a dream, pretty much anything I throw at it, but it does get very hot, so cooling pad is needed.

    Thanks friend :) I wasn't planning on playing with 4K res (only FHD), but to just enjoy the screen with daily works, and text reading+writing. I kind of decided to not change the machine, and anyway the price of the UHD screen 2060 version has jumped, so it's not an option anymore anyway :)

    Also bear in mind that battery life is a lot shorter with 4K.

    Also, scaling is still a mess on a lot of programs.

    Good point on the scaling. It's 200% better than it used to be 3 years ago, but it can still be a bit of a cluster.
