Gigabyte still misleading customers by saying full alluminum chassis. Aluminum panels stuck on a plastic chassic. The grills, sides and internal frame are all plastic.

Also i would recommend all people that are looking for a laptop to wait now. The pascal generation is coming very soon.

I think they were just to hold over people who couldn't wait for the next gen. They didn't ship many and pretty much everyone who carried the model appears to be sold out.

Was looking forward to this one. At least in US, the release has been lowkey and whatever channels did sell it are sold out with no info on restock. No reviews of final release, no real feedback anywhere, completely dark release. This is pushing me toward MSI hard right now.

Can anyone say how that 8GB 980 compares to GTX1060 with 6GB though?

The 980 is just a little bit faster than the 1060. A 1070 completely smokes it.

With the 1060 OC you can manage a bit faster than the 980.

Main advantage comes in power efficiency though, you can get the 1060 in 14" chassis such as the MSi GS43VR or other GSxxVR series.

True, If you are lucky though. Pascal hasnt been proven to be great overclockers yet. Only managed to reach 2100mhz on my 1070 EVGA FTW card even.Average is 2050mhz.

    pretty sure

I have to crank the voltage all the way up, it'll stay at 2012mhz for a couple of seconds and throttle back to 1999 or 1987mhz due to thermal throttling

    temps below 62c
