    Greetings,

I have a new Aero 17 SA i7 9750H. Overall like it a ton, but am having a strange issue with memory use (or memory use reporting). Some applications are much, much higher (like 250% x) than on my old laptop (XPS 15 9560) or 9700K desktop. (All three have 16 GB installed.)

Process Explorer and Task Manager show a lot more process working set usage than RamMap. But RamMap is more than it should be also.

So far, it seems more like a reporting error than actual memory use issue. But not 100% confident in this. The programs where I have noticed the issues are 32 bit.

Has anyone else run into this? Any suggestions on how to diagnose?

    Thanks!

I was having memory and cpu spikes along with a massive power drain after I upgraded windows to 1903. I recently went back to 1809 and now it's working perfectly.

Interesting. The other two computers I compared it to also have 1903.

It seems to be a reporting error rather than actual memory use. The reason I think so is that I have seen it report memory use which would crash a 32 bit process normally.

FWIW, I found another 9750H laptop owner who has this same issue.
