    Hi all,

I'm new to Gigabyte computers and just recently came across the new 2021 models with RTX 30 series GPUS. What is the difference between the Aorus 17G XD and an Aero HRD XD? Is it just the screen? It looks like the measurements are just a little bit different but is there anything else?

The Aero has an OLED screen option, is thinner, lighter, and made of metal. The Aorus only offers high-refresh options, is thicker, heavier, and primarily made of plastic.

In terms of gaming they are comparable.
Aorus typically has better thermals and cooling but it is bigger and made from plastic :(
I would choose Aero because of size and quality.( You are choosing 105W version so I assume GPU is not first priority )
AORUS 17G XD and AERO 17 HRD XD have GPU 105W.

But if you can have smaller laptop with RTX 3070 I would choose this one
AEROUS 15P XD have GPU 130W

I bought 2 weeks ago something very similar
AEROUS 15P YD have GPU 130W ( The only difference is RTX 3080 only about faster by 8% in tests and more expensive )
With little adjustments it can easily stay at 130W without throttling all the time.

Can the 2021 Gigabyte Aero 15 be charged via usb-c? Or it does not support power delivery?
The one with 11th gen i7 and RTX 3060/70/80. I keep seeing different opinions some saying it can, some are firm that it cannot be charged.
Not for gaming use, just when left powerbrick at home and want to use a smaller charger instead purposes.

It does support usb-c charging but it has to be a (near)100W charger minimum. I tried a 65W PD charger and it did not work.

The Aero can be charged via USB-C, the Aorus cannot. You just need to make sure that your charger is able to output 20V/5A.
