I thought it would be cool to post your Gateway P-6860/6831 3DMark06 scores. Make sure you post your resolution, and you score. I'll be running mine in a second.

god d4mn you dook i might just go and clean install that vista ultimate x64 i have lying around
-
lol. Yea. But the sad thing is, I now have to "unoptimize" everything(Including switching back to .83) to get better gaming performance. 3DMark is so weird.
-
awsome score dook but remember guys its 1280x800 and not 1280x1024 the true score and thats not to rain on your parade dook in the least bit but people with 7811s may get confused cause they can run the native 3dmark res as where 6831/60s cant unless they plug into an external monitor.
-
Indeed. It seems to me like, for this sub-forum at least, 1280x800 should be the 3DM "standard" as it's a resolution everyone can utilize without having to use an external monitor.
-
well they should be able to read
-
Not everyone does, this is the internet after all .
-
1440x900 is almost equal to the pixels that 1280x1024 has, vertical pixels are harder to render though i think, still do it at that res and it should be almost the same.
-
That is a good point nars.
-
all of my points are Dook, jeesh
-
Ya 1440x900 is closer and again not trying to be a D**k just pointing it out for t he people that are not as well informed about how things work .
-
7201 at 1280x1024, all stock. (No OC, T5550, etc.)

-
Yeah, used my TV. And yes Nasnail, I do in fact need to join that Holy Club. Now, if only I can find a local seller, as I don't buy things online.
And Dook, big personal mess, catch up with you about it soon. -
oh, you had a bad experience online im guessing? or just not trustworthy..either way, i bought from HONG KONG, and i had not herd from the seller for about 5 days, i was freaking lol. everything was very quick though.

Oh wow. I didn't know you couldn't change the res in the free version. I knew it was limited, but I didnt realize they limited the res.

177.89 driver with physx enabled.
-
How do you enable physx and what does it do =]

wolverine mean o/c on the gpu kudos

I usually tune my system with the Crysis Benchmark Tool . If it's stable there, it's stable everywhere. 3DMark06 scores are definitely not an indication of gaming performance. That being said, that is a very nice GPU OC.

Hello all, I am new here. I have a P6831FX but in my device manager is says I have a GeForce 8800M GT, not GTS is that right? I thought it was supposed to come with the GTS?
Any ideas? Maybe I have the wrong driver installed? I just did windows update to get the drivers...so any input is much appreciated. -
It's a GTS. You more than likely have the desktop driver installed. Look here for correct drivers and modified infs.
-
btw...what does the inf do? -
Its what allows windows to see you are using a laptop gpu and not a desktop gpu. Be sure to download that along with the drivers. Heres a little install info.
-
Thanks alot Dook! Repped!
-
No Problem.
-
Dook is such a nice gentlemen.
He's dreamy.
I'm drunk. Again. Hopefully. -
Nice! Sounds like fun. Except this time please try to remember that yellow toilet water is not chicken broth.
-
^^ YUCK! lol
