    Hi,

So does anyone know what is up with this, I downloaded the new Catalyst Mobility 5.10 driver and tried to install them on my ATI X600 equipped 7510GX, and it says I'm not allowed to install them? They say I have to go to the manufacturers website.

Well the Gateway site has a couple of drivers for this laptop, but no video drivers at all. The installed drivers date from 4/2005 (not sure how to interpret the driver version string to map to the ATI released drivers versions).

Is this typical for ATI? I always use generic NVidia drivers for my other machines, am I stuck using hacked drivers or forever being left behind with ATI?

    Thanks for any info!

It is not supported by gateway yet. If you look at the place to download the mobility it says the companies that support it. Just download the regular desktop drivers and mod them using the ati modding tool.
