Just note its refurbished. I would get the 3 year warranty for 150

 

I ordered it without the extended warranty. I didn't even think of buying extra coverage. Hope it all works out. Seems like a nice machine for the price but the whole buying process from buy.com was HORRIBLE. I am scared to go to sleep with fear my wife is going to kill me in my sleep.
When I purchased it I used my same card I make all my internet purchases with and never had any problems. Well with buy.com my purchase went through but then a little later I got an e-mail saying my order was canceled because they could not verify my billing address with my debit card.
Knowing this card was fine I thought it was some glitch so I ordered it again only to get an email a little later saying it was canceled again for the same reason..... Sigh
So, I called them and spoke with them on the phone and explained to them the situation, they said they could push it through on there end, they did so and the order was placed! YAY
Well then I get up in the morning and I am reading all my news and just for fun popped on buy.com and looked at the notebook one more time and found it was now $20.00 cheaper! I thought maybe they would refund me the difference since I just placed the order the night before so I gave them a call. They stated they could not do that without canceling the order and re-doing it. I told them to please not cancel my order and to never mind and hung up.
About 30 minutes later I get an e-mail telling me my order was canceled per my request! OMG!
I called them and had a small melt down with the poor rep I got on the phone and reordered my notebook LOL.
Alright, now here comes the best part and why I am afraid of my wife at the moment. Later that day I was on my online banking site checking my bills and WTF I see a ton of my bills that went through and bounced!! I had plenty of money to cover everything so I couldn't understand it?!? I call my bank to find out I had $2,425 being "held" by buy.com for online purchases! every order I placed they put a banking hold on that money to make sure it was available. Even though they canceled the orders it takes one to four business days to release the funds. So all my bills that came through the bank showed I didn't have the money to cover them and BOING!
Soooo I have learned a valuable lesson! if an order is canceled remember they still have your money for awhile.
What a mess LOL, I sure hope this notebook is nice

I guess dell isnt like that...I canceled my order 2-3 days after i placed it, and turns out they didnt even charge my card, even tho i was told they would credit back the money the same night i called.
