I recently brought my laptop into bestbuy to get the gpu fan repaired/replaced because it was making a grinding/clicking sound and my computer was repeatedly overheating. After tons of time fighting with bestbuy about this and that, they finally figured out that the fan was the problem if though I told them that initially. Now that "the professionals" figured out what I already knew initially, they tell me they don't have the part and can't fix it. Does anyone know of any way i can procure the part/get it repaired/etc. If it helps, I live in New Jersey. Thanks in advance for your help.

Is it under their warenty? if so they should repair or replace it even the entire laptop etc............
-
Yeah if you have the warranty and they can't fix it, they should give you a new laptop.

I knew there was something I didnt mention. The laptop is no longer under warranty and calling gateway about anything is not an option because they no longer sell anything and all. I just really want to find a way to get it fixed so i dont need to buy a new laptop.

look on ebay for some fans. I'm sure you'll be able to find some. On youtube there is at least one tutorial about taking apart the P series laptops.

That is not a true P-7808u, I was excited for a sec there but there is no Quad core CPU.................

Does the P7805U FX have Quad Core support?
