    Xi 1546 OverHeating

    Hey
    I have a problem with my xi 1546 mobility x1800 radeon, for like a 4 month everything was ok but then it started to overheat while playing wow i bought an additional cooling for the laptop it helped but for like a month...now i'm getting random crashes and artifacts any idea what's going on ?

    Edit: I have drivers and gfx bios form f&s page.

    could be that dust has collect inside your notebook...you might wanna open it up and have a look just to make sure...

    Use a program like NHC to check the temperature of the processor. Also, download the latest drivers for the graphics card, and the latest patches/updates for the games and see if that makes any difference.

    I have all the updates and patches for both drivers and games but i will try NHC anyway cpu temps are 50idle-80stress

    80 C is getting on the hotter side, and that may be why the notebooks is suffering from some instability issues. If you are still under warranty, then I would adcise to ask Fujitsu Siemens to repair it. It most likely needs to have the thermal interface on the processor reaplied, however, it could still be the graphics card.

    these cpu's can reach 100 C and i'm sure that its gpu
