My s7010D is vibrating now for some reason. When I put my palms on the palmrest, I can feel both sides vibrating. Sometimes its stronger which leads me to think it has something to do with the hard drive. I've checked the hard drive and it looks alright, although when I originally put it in, other than shoving the pins into the connector, there wasn't really any kind of mount to hold the hard drive in place. It had never vibrated until today. What could be the problem?

Had the same problem with my E7010 and it was my CD-ROM that was causing it. It was an improperly placed CD. I 'bent it back to shape and presto the vibration was gone.

Haha. I don't think it vibrates enough for THAT purpose. Anyway, my cd-rom has no cd in it so that's not the problem.

Hmmm.. then its the fan. If the hard drive vibrates like that you should fine blue screens of death and bad sectors. Those are the only 2 moving parts in the notebook other than the CD rom drive.

If it really bothers you , you should take it in to Fujitsu to have a look. Maybe the fan over time got loose in the housing?
