2 dead red pixels in middle of screen that are quite visible in a dark background. Unfortunately, I ordered through Fujitsu, so I guess there is nothing I can do about it, except live with it. **sigh*** and such a beautiful screen too

All hope is not necessarily lost. My Fujitsu had no stuck pixels when I got it, but developed a couple grey ones yesterday. After a little massaging of the screen with a microfiber cloth, they went away.

There is also a utility you can try that basically flashes different colors on your screen at high frequency, which can potentially help unstick stuck pixels. Check this thread:

If it is a pre-configured one, you can return it for 15 days. I'd say it is worth giving them a call since they are right in the middle of the screen which are more annoying than the ones on side. Good Luck.

I concur that you have a good shot of getting it replaced. When dead pixels are in the center of the display you have a much better chance, and as zaz points out there's a 15-day return window.

Sorry to hear that deadbeatles! That's one of the reasons I went with the W2. ASUS replaced my screen with one dead pixel. Albeit the wrong screen, but it's still getting replaced. I'd call Fujitsu and ask for a replacement. You might be surprised.

Please let us know their response if you go through with it.

Fujitsu will replace your screen (at least in Canada anyway) even if there is one stuck pixel on the middle of the screen, or 3 stuck pixel anywhere.

take it to a local authorized fujitsu service center. I did and they replace my screen no questions asked. They get reimbursed by fujitsu so it a win=win situation :)
