I received my E8210 today. I was noticing that the standard battery that came with the laptop is lighter than it appears. Might someone know whether the extended 8 cell battery is the same physical size as the standard 6 cell? I didn't get the 8 cell because I was under the impression that the 8 cell battery would buldge from the bottom of the laptop.

oops, forgot to say; So put another way, is the 8 cell, 14.4V, 5200 mAh P/N: FPCBP144AP battery physically different in size than the 6 cell, 10.8V 5200 mAh
    P/N: FPCBP143AP battery?

If they are I think I made a bad choice in getting the 6 cell battery instead of the 8 cell.

try to the app called RMCLOCK. it made by intel.laptops even when using a direct power from ac adapter the power still goes via the battery this app allows direct input thus saving your little.amd has a power saving tool also you can try. amd tool can really drop your processor down saving power .

magick, that doesn't really answer the question I asked.
I am wondering if there is a physical size difference between the two batteries.
