I don't believe that Portable One charges sales tax in any state except the one where they are located (California). Regards, Ace

That's usually the way it goes. Sales tax is charged if the customer lives in the state of origin of the vendor. But hey, I don't live in California, so I won't pretend to know what their policies are. Regards, Ace [8D]

Thank you! This is great news! Ordering from Fujitsu web charges sales tax, yet they have a 5% student discount, so I guess that equals out to no sales tax for them. Though, I believe Portable One has better deal and cheaper configuration. Portable One is great!

As the guys at Portable One explained to me. They have lower prices than the mfg.'s site, they gave me a three year factory warranty, free FedEx 2-day and I got my 6231 configured exactly as I wanted. They made a small error on my memory configuration. And guess what?FedEx had a replacement on my doorstep 2 days later. I couldn't be a happier camper!! I have done a ton of online shopping (vendor and eBay)and dealt with numerous sellers and vendors. P-1 is "The Best", period! Regards, Ace

also the 6231 has a dothan core while the 6210 has banias. the 6210 will run hotter and feel warm on the bottom.

From what i understand, they made the keyboard more sturdy.
