I am wondering if N6010 will be using Pentium M anytime soon? How is the keyboard of the Fujitsu notebooks. This will be my first try if ever I purchase one. I am also considering this among several others (Dell, Asus).

Yes, they are replacing the P4 with a PM chip soon. The keyboards are generally pretty solid.

The change is done. Better battery life and less heat are the benefits, with little or no loss in power.

Actually there will be almost no gain in battery life according to japanese model specs. But I guess the best thing about it would be that the fans wont have to be on all the time. On the current model the fans switch off at less than 45C but that never happens when you are at room temp.
Since the new model will get a 1.86GHz P-M CPU then the processing power will remain more or less unchanged.
As for graphics the X600 is comparable to the 9700, so no change in that department! Oh ya and weight remains unchanged too.

So eseentially, qwester, the new chip will solve the fan noise problem (which has been just about the only annoying thing about this otherwise excellent laptop, according to what I've read on the forum and in reviews)?

Also, what exactly is the difference between the N6110 and the N6210? I've put the Portable One specs side by side on my screen, and I can't pinpoint the $200 difference. Must be there, but just can't see it.

I think they made a mistake, I might be wrong, but I think there was a faster CPU in the 6220 last week.

As for the fan noise, it may have been addressed, Fujitsu is good about responding to issues in their refreshes.
