I have a p5020 and have used it for 4 years with no problems. What is happening now is strange. When I plug in the headphone I am still getting some sound out of the speakers on the p5020. I am not getting full sound (I am in the headphones) just some garbled sound. This makes it very annoying because I can not watch movies on a airplane without bothering people around me. I have checked all the sound settings and they look ok. Does anyone have any suggestion?

Try some contact cleaner in the headphone jack.

You might want to try updating your audio drivers as well. That fixed the problem for me.
