i know this doesn't affect anyone but me, but it's my first fujitsu and i am damn happy. plus, the anonymity of message boards lets me share my excitement with you other dorks. ;)

anyway, i got the D with 1GB RAM and the 60GB 5400RPM dive. (i have two external 250GB USB 2.0 drives with all my media, so the extra 20GB didn't matter much.)

i am picking it up in person from P1 friday morning. at that point i will part of "the gang".

    yee haw

good choice, but 7010 has a bad gpu performance,u must know this,
I think u must have taken a Lifebook 8010,coz it s same price with 7010,only it s more weight than 7010,7010 is 1,7 kg and 8010 is 3 kg
but has a ati radeon 9700 64 (ati m11)...anyway fujitsu is a good choice.

Congrats. You should be very happy with the machine, I know I am. I wouldn't worry about the GPU performance too much. I don't know too many people who will try to play DOOM or UT on a machine that small. I like to use MS Office as my performance barometer and the P7 handles it like a champ....works with Linux too.

GPU means nothing to me. i have an insanely maxed out 3.4EE-based machine for gaming. i might try some MAME, but nothing else. also, the fujitsu warranty os worldwide. i am moving to japan in two months, so this is important for me. now to order the shuttle case. :)
