i went out to buy the Monster ScreenClean for my 2 day old s6210 because i thought there was a smudge on the screen, after using the cleaner and the supplied microfiber cloth, i notice there are some streaks on my screen.

did i make a mistake by using solvents? what is the proper way to get rid of smudges and dusts and keep the screen fresh and clean?

I've found the best way is also the cheapest and safest way.
Just take fresh, clean and soft hand towel and wet a 2 inch corner of it with tap water(use some cheap deep rock bottled water if your tap water is hard, not clear or smells) and then squeeze out the excess (not dripping wet just damp). I then take the wet corner and give the screen a good wipe down. I then take the rest of towel which is still dry and rewipe with the dry part until the screen is dry. After that I wipe off the keyboard and then the outer shell of the notebook.
Water is the safest way to clean and it does not leave any residue, streaks and smudges like everything else does.
    Try it you'll like it!

Water is usually the best and the use of either a lint free cotten or microfiber cloth. For extremely dirty screens (laptop, computer, tv, pda etc) I use Pledge Electronics Cleaner. I have not had any problems with it.

I never use cleaners on my display. A microfiber cloth with water, you can get one at www.radtech.us.

If there are stubborn spots I use an alcohol swab, but that's it.
