Any pcmcia good ones? Or is best pc card bluetooth with a pc-pcmcia adpter? I dont want usb because sticks outside and i use my notebook a lot in the lap. I just dont think is practical when putting in a case, have to remove the usb dongle, etc.
I am trying solution the is not obtrusive, as inside as possible.

If you do a google search "CF bluetooth" you will find several CF cards that you can use with a PC card adapter sleeve.
I am using the ambicom CF card/adapter with my S6231. It is about 1/2 the price of the socket. Only problem is, the one I have does'nt get along with SP2. I just sent it back to Ambicom, and they are going to send me a newer version that is supposed to be compatible. We will see..

The reason I got the Ambicom was that it is almost flush with the edge of the computer - it protrudes maybe 1/4 inch. Very cool. I agree that the USB option is unacceptable on any laptop because it sticks out too much, and is just begging to be busted off

Can't help you there. You could email Ambicom tech support - I always seem to get a same day response. Ask them who has the latest cards.
What are you using BT for. I'm using mine to connect to a BT GPS.

    Hi voyagerxxx

You should take a look at the Billionton PCMCIA BT card. I own two of them. One on my Fujitsu S6231 and my Fujitsu T70H. I use a the Bluetooth Jabra 250 headset with Skype and MSN messenger on my laptops and it works great. I also sometimes use it to listen to music via winamp and WMP through the headset. I'm constantly amazed at how far I can go away from my laptop before I experience any distortion on the headset. I like how it sit's flush with the side of the laptop and it has a retractable antenna which honestly I never even pull out when synching my BT phone or talking with my headset. It is barely noticeable except for a flashing blue light. I normally disable the card in devices when I'm not using it to stop the blue light from flashing or what I've read is that some people have put some black tape over the light. It seems to be a good solution also. I purchased my cards during a trip in Hong Kong but I've read that other people were able to successfully purchase the card at this online store. Otherwise I'm not sure where in N.A. it can be purchased.

There's a great review of the card and pictures on the www.leog.net forum.
    http://www.leog.net/fujp_forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6551

What sold me on the card was the above review, the long list of profiles the card supports (especially the HID profile which allows you to use a bt mouse) and how inconspicuous it looks installed in the laptop.

    Supported BT Profiles:
    http://www.billionton.com.tw/website/index.html
    Generic access profile (GAP),
    Serial port profile (SPP),
    Service discovery app profile (SDAP),
    Generic object exchange profile (GOEP),
    Object push profile (OPP),
    File transfer profile (FTP),
    Dial-up network profile (DUN),
    LAN access profile (LAP),
    Fax profile (FAX),
    Personal Area Network profile(PAN)
    Synchronization Profile
    Human Interface Device Profile(HID)
    Headset Profile4. Mechanical

I hope this info helps. Good Luck with your search

Forgot to mention that I have the Billionton Card installed with Windows XP Pro SP2. The card uses Widcomm drivers. I highly recommend that you don't use the default Microsoft BT drivers and install your hardware vendor provided drivers. I installed SP2 first and then installed the drivers that came with the card.

I was looking for one too and found belkin produced one for PDAs (a CF of course), but it also comes with a sleve to fit into pcmcia.

    Link to belkin: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=200583&pcount=&Product_Id=165833#

And here is a place you can actually buy it from for a WAY more reasonable price: http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product_Code=BKN+F8T006&JRSource=PriceGrabber.datafeed.BKN+F8T006

Other options would be to install XP SP2, plug in the adapter and let windows use it's own drivers, or install the belkin drivers before XP SP2. I will only use it to surf briefly via a sprintpcs LG pm325 bluetooth phone when a wifi network isn't available. Unfortunately the phone only supports DUN, headset, and handsfree so there will be no photo/contact bluetooth transfer.
