Hi forum this is my first post, ive recently purchased 15 laptops for a company i supply my services to. The problem is the laptops were delivered with Windows Vista basic. As the company requires windows XP SP2 on their machines, i'm sruglling to install XP on the laptops.
the model is a amilo La1703.
When i boot up the XP cd and go to the installation, it runs the blue screen and attemps to load all of the drivers. However when it brings up the text at the bottom of the screen sayin "SETUP IS NOW LOADING WINDOWS" this is the screen just before the options of partition sor repair screen, it brings up the blue screen of death and there is no way past that.
If anyone has found this error before i hope to hear from you soon with a solution.
    thanking you in advance

Have you tried to format the hard disk first, before putting WinXP installation disk inside? You could use the third party software Partition Magic for example and partition it as well.

In that case the machine will definately be clean and XP should load and install fine
