The S6230 is being released in Asia Late November. Does anyone know about how long it will take before being released in the U.S.?

Why? You're lusting for that better ventilation? Just kidding...generally it takes 2-4 months for the Asian designs to come over here in some form. This sounds to me like an update that will come over, especially once stock in the S6210 is gone.

Thanks Brian. Actually Im not planning to get this laptop for at least 3 months. So I just figured I might as well see when the new one's coming. And heck... better ventilation and a nice new model number cant hurt, can it? I'll have the cash to blow by then so I might as well get the best.

Better ventilation is always good, but better graphics is even better [ :D]

Yeah. I would like it if they would put at least dedicated memory in these notebooks. It seems to me like they are being really cheap not offering it. I would pay another $100 to $200 more for it easy. Even for apps its better to have a good graphics card, not just for games. And it will increase the lenth of time this laptop would be good for especially since it has such a beautiful screen. Sony's making thin and light laptops with dedicated memory, but I dont want widescreen and I hate the little silver mouse buttons sony uses (they just arent ergonimic and are clearly only for looks) and I like the fujitsu build and screen and price a million times better.

Haha yeah, but who knows. They probably didn't want to increse the price if they added in a independent video card and just keep it consumer low price as possible.

This is not a consumer notebook, business users don't need dedicated graphics and don't want to pay for it. That's the logic anyway when talking to Fujitsu.

Well, all I can say is I spent about a month narrowing down which notebook to get and the S6000 series is pretty much the ultimate thin and light and I would recommend it to all of my friends who are students. Everything about it is just right. I just cant wait to get one in a few months and start playing with it. [ :D]

I know! I guess I underestimated Fujitsu on this one. Good to know though, that if they see an issue they resolve it quickly.
