Hello, i have an incident with my keyboard. My Amilo Pi 1556 worked just fine, but a couple of days ago i pushed a bottle of water over his keyboard. Yes, i turned it of immediately. After two days with some dry procedures, i've started the laptops and he works just fine. Every one of the buttons work, except my LEFT ALT. Now, more than two weeks after the incident everything works just fine, except LEFT ALT. Can someone help with this? Thanks.

You will need to either use an external keyboard or buy and install a new keyboard to get it working. The liquid spill damaged the keyboard.

Keep in mind that the liquid spill may have also damaged your motherboard. If your notebook ever goes in for RMA repair, it may be considered out-of-warranty (your expense) due to evidence of corrosion on the motherboard.

You may need to contact your Technical Support provider. It is possible that the keyboard is damaged and there is no solution other than replacing the keyboard. This type of damage may not be covered by your warranty. One suggestion that I can offer is to reseat the keyboard (providing this does not void the warranty).

Thanks for your reply guys. My warranty is over, so i better check where i can find another keyboard. Lucky for me, motherboard isn't broken. Laptop work just fine (i play a lot of games on him - bioshock, sega rally etc.) Can some of you give a link where i can buy replacement for my broken keyboard. Not that i cannot live without left alt, but it really annoy me when i must use some fast-key command.
