I've heard its a major pain to upgrade or change out the hard drive of the Fujitsu - not as 'friendly' as some laptops..

Whats the good word on this?

I am interested in that new egg deal but I am unsure of what to do if I need more space/faster RPM...
I know it might be asking too much but then again...
    Suggestions?
    Thanks

Not sure who told you that, they use a standard drive size.

For the S6231, the hard drive is very easy to upgrade, however this is not considered a user upgradeable part according to Fujitsu and could technically void your warranty if something were to go wrong. Just some information that I picked up on when I got my notebook.

Forgot to mention, I upgraded my Fujitsu's hard drive but was told if I ever needed to send my notebook in for repair, to put back the old HD before I send it in so I don't void the warranty

On another note - do you think that the warrenty is a good thing to have ? Specifically an 'extended' 3 year warrenty..

How does it work with fujitsu in that respect.

Search for the thread entitled "extended warranty".

But you better order fast if you want this fuji deal... only a couple of minutes left. [ :D]
