I'm using U1010 with HSDPA & Samsung SSD running on Vista Home Premium but boot time from after BIOS pre-boot until login screen (with omnipass) takes averagely 46 seconds & the fastest I got is only 42 seconds. I had disabled almost all Fujitsu & many not useful start-up programs/services. I even defrag the C drive frequently including system/boot files using Perfect Disk. Aero & Superfetch enabled. Windows search indexing disabled. TMM disabled. Using Omnipass latest version available from Fujitsu website. Many of the tweaks learned from this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=166532

Whereby I have another U1010 (non-HSDPA version) with stock standard 40GB Toshiba HDD with every default start-up programs/services (including Omnipass, Aero & Superfetch) enabled & the C drive never been defrag before. It scored 56 seconds.

Personally I feel weird & not satisfied with the former one. All the tweakings I had done & SSD hardware I had added, seemed only improve boot time by a meagre 10 seconds?

How about you guys? Any advice appreciated.
