So it seems that my S6231's display touches my keyboard when it is closed and it leaves marks on the screen. Is there anything that can remove these marks?

What I do is take the cloth that is used to clean eye glasses and put a little water on it then wipe the screen with that.

Yep, using water is probably the best way to get the marks o the screen. If the notebook didn't do this before, and you didn't cause it from, then you should be able to get Fujistu to take care of the problem.

This seems to be a common problem with Fujitsu's. My friends S7010 also does that. He had a a line on the screen which was caused by the keyboard and after replacing the screen for an unrelated reason the line is back. Thankfully I had kept the piece of material that came with my S7110 which was between the screen and the keyboard when I first opened it. Now I just put that back in there every time I close the lid.

Yes, it's generally good to have the cloth between the screen and the keyboard unless you have good reason not to do that.
