Any S6000 owners using Shinza 12" sleeve.

    http://shinza.com/product_info.php?products_id=45

    Or

    Booq Powersleeve12 (http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=65)

    Booq Vyper XS (http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=97)

These all seem to be a snug fit for the S6, Just want to know if there is anyone using these sleeves.

I haven't used either, but I think it breaks down like this. The Booq has better looks, the Shinza better protection.

I have the Shinza and its a really tight fit. You definitely have to stretch it a little to make it squeeze in. Its easy when its warm but can be difficult to do when its cold and has very little stretch. I would probably not get it again because I don't like the inconvenience of squeezing it in and I worry a little about it hurting the laptop in the long run.

Thanks for the reply floyd. Is it really that tight of a fit.

    Dims for Fujitsu S6231 is 11.5 X 9.3 X 1.28

    Dims for Shinza (indside) 11.42 X 9.45 X 1.5

    Dims for BOOQ (inside) 11.2 X 9.1 X 1.4

I thought the dims difference was neglegible, I wonder if the Booq is going to be an even tighter fit!!! Let me know what you think.

Well according to the site they updated the Shinza so the new one's size may be slightly different than the one I got 2 months ago (although mine looks similar to the pictures on the site and I believe mine also has the silver wire-frame that they refer to). Okay I just measured mine and it is the same size.

The sleeze is slightly too small because of its height. When you slip it in there isn't a problem but when you zip it up you kind of have to squeeze the corners of the sleeze up and out to allow the zipper to get around the corners. This isn't too bad when the sleeve is warm, however when it is cooler and can be more of a pain because the sleeve doesn't have as much stretch, the other morning for instance my sleeve was near an open window and took me about 30-45 seconds to get it all zipped up. Maybe I'm just being too sensitive though because I don't want to squeeze it too harb and hurt the screen or case.

Either way once its in there I feel like it has a nice flush fit and and feel no worry throwing it into a backpack or messenger bag with some heavy textbooks. Its just getting it in that I don't like as it is slightly annonying and I worry about hurtng it. That said I don't plan on replacing it as it seems to be okay most of the time and it is solidly constructed.

Why not go with the Crumpler School Hymm? Its a perfect fit, hard-cased, and no need to stretch it what so ever. Check it out at www.mycrumpler.com
