    those of you that own a S7110. what battery life do you get at most? with the standard 6-cell battery. (official claim 6 hours 30 min) how is it in real life?

    Realistically, with the screen brightness at level 2 (more than sufficient) and no CD-ROM usage, another words internet surfing and so on, you're looking at between 3.5 - 4 hours. I use the original battery + the modular bay battery and I can get up to 7 hours which kicks ass.

    With the DVD drive removed, sound on mute, lowest brightness, and wireless ON, I get about 5hours and 30min. 5hours and 50min with wireless OFF. But mine is the core duo which is not offered anymore, battery life might differ in the core 2 duo.

    not too much. but FSC promised about 6 hours with standart battery =(

    I never got official claimed 6 hours. I guess that's the newest battery with lowest config, all things off, screen dimmest, and don't touch anything :). Anyways, the useful normal use I can get is 4 hours plus which is not bad at all considering I'm using the highest CPU 2GHz Core 2 Duo with 2GB RAM and 160GB HD!
