Hi, I'm researching my first laptop & I think I've settled on the S7000D. I'm having a tough time deciding on a few options and hope you can help!

    1. Are there any negatives to "Quick Point"? It's a free option so I'm inclined to get it even though I don't know much about it.

    2. I'm considering buying it without a dvd drive for now to save money ($220). Is adding an aftermarket, maybe faster than 2X one possible in the future?

    3. I believe I've read that this model is getting a CPU & HDD bump within the next month. Anyone know if that's all?

    4. Display! *pulls out hair*
Is Crystal View worse for the eyes than the SXGA+ option if using the laptop mostly at night in a dim room? Seems that's how I get the most work done and I never plan on using it outdoors either.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    1) No negatives to getting it
    2) I haven't investigated this, but be sure you can find one that fits properly. And I take it you mean DVD burner not DVD drive?
    3) We don't know for sure, but it should get Sonoma in March, which includes several upgrades.
    4) I love CV in all levels of light. It's completely personal though. You might try looking at several differnt displays in a store to see what you like.

Yep, I meant a burner! I just wish Fujitsu had in store models near me, but I'll check out some other displays to see what I think!

    Thanks!
