I've read reviews and have heard that the s6231 runs very cool and quiet, but I also noticed it has the Dothan processor. Unfortunately the newer model s6240 has the newer Sonoma processor, so I'm wondering if this will increase the fan noise? I'm really picky about fan noise and want a quiet laptop, any help would be appreciated. I'm wondering if I should buy the older model s6231 or go with the newer s6240. Thanks in advance.

If noise is a serious concern, I'd get the older S6231. The new model runs warmer and the fan turns more as a result. I'm sure hte next generation will be better with heat, but who knows when that will be.
