Hi all, I recently purchased S6231 and it is amazing laptop.
I usually remove the battery and use ac adaptor when in use but some people say that dust and moisture could damage the laptop. I think I am gonna need a battery bay cover like my old inspiron 8200. Is there any place where I can order it?
    Thanks..

You can insert what's called a weight saver dummy for some laptops, but not sure if Fujitsu makes or provides such a thing...my hunch is that they don't. You should call 1-800-FUJITSU and ask if they sell a "weight saver dummy" to go in the battery compartment. if they don't know what you're talking about, then they don't sell it [ ;)]

The weight saver should be included in the accessories box of the S6231. That's where mine is.

    Are you sure Kirby?
I have a weight saver for the dvd/cdrw rom in the accessories box but not for the battery. What is its part number?

Right, he's talking about removing the main battery. Let's get to the core issue though, you really don't need to remove the battery when on AC. You might be helping the long term life of the battery, but only at a marginal level.

Sorry for stupid question, but you mean using the battery and AC together does not diminish the battery life significantly?
