Hey I need some suggestions. I got a 40GB Hitachi Travelstar harddrive in my S6210 and it runs very hot for some reason. When I had my first one it came with a Toshiba 40GB harddrive and it didn't run as hot. I'm looking into upgrading it with a 60GB harddrive, but not sure which one to get, but as long it has a 8MB or larger buffer, low noise level and runs at 5400RPM.

I have the same machine as you (see my signature), but with the 60gig 7200rpm harddrive. Heat is not a problem, nor is battery life. You can get one for about $180 from www.zipzoomfly.com

The 70k60 is clearly the best drive around for capacity and speed.

Hey but how bout the Toshiba MK6026GAX 60GB hard drive? Is that any good by any chance, and for da 7K60, thats pretty crazy for a 7200RPM laptop hard drive[ :D]

I tend to stick strictly with Hitachi for notebook drives.

If you look at most major league people here, they all use Hitachi 7K60 or 5K80, what does that tell you.

Haha alrite alrite, thanx, and I have made up my mind about the harddrive, I'm goin with the 5K80 instead since its 80GB and more memory means more music and games to load into it haha.
