Hi, many of you who have the S6120 may realize this laptop get fairly warm after 1-2 hrs of use. I usually just leave my notebook on to download big files. I'm wondering if its bad or possibly damanging to leave the notebook on 24/7?

    Thanks in advance!

No, it won't hurt your notebook to leave it on for an extended period of time. That said, it's not designed to be a file server, so you might want to give it a break sometimes.

I usually just leave it on for 3 days or so with everything ON except the LCD, is the S6120 adequate for this?

Aside from doing something that doesn't sound legal, you should be okay. I'd make sure to leavet he display open though while the machine is running. It will get more hot with it closed.
