Newegg has a special running and both machines are the same price at their entry level, which one should i get? is the S6240 worth the extra weight? Also, just on a side note, does anyone wish they had purchased a wide screen notebook?

From those two, personally, I'd go with the Turion. It may be the AMD fanboy inside of me saying so, but I think the S2110 is just a little more futureproof than the S6240, even though it'd give better battery life.

Nope, I don't miss widescreen that much - gaming is a pain when you are only using 75% of a 13 inch screen.

If price is actually equal (though I don't recommend getting a laptop off of newegg - the service and no dead pixel guarentee of portableone.com are totally worth a little extra money in my opinion), you might be better going with the s6240. It is definitely faster, though it has a lower battery life and worse integrated graphics. I personally think a little less speed for more battery life and a little better graphics card are worth it, but you will definitely get more speed from the s6240.

And they use the same frame, so weight should be equal.
