Encountered some problem using the SD slot on my new P1510D. I inserted a SANDISK 1Gb SD card which contained pictures, ppt, xls, Word docs that I previously used my iPaq pocket PC to view. The P11510D was not able to read the files, and in fact, prompted me to reformat the SD card. I called up Fujitsu's tech support, and they said this may be caused by the format of the files in the SD card. They said although I created the files with my old laptop, the file format has already changed when I hotsyn it to the pocket pc, therefore unable to be recognized by P1510D.

I did not try using a blank SD card with the P1510D. However I did tried to insert another SANDISK 512MB SD card which contains pictures I took directly from my digital camera. The P1510D still prompted me to reformat the card. Then, I tried a 3rd SD card, this time, a Panasonic 16MB SD card which also contains pictures taken directly from the digitial camera. Now it worked.

Can someone tell me what's the problem here? Is it because of the brand of the SD card, or did I miss doing something in the first place?

Did you try reinstalling the drivers? I think they can be found on the Fujitsu website.

No, I think the reader has problems with some brands of memory. I recall having the exact same issues with my old P5000. If I recall, formatting the RAM didn't help. You might try this anyway, then complain to them further if it fails.
