Has anybody else noticed that the USB ports for the P7120 are slow?
    Are they USB 1.0?
Is there a fix to this?

Check the "device manager". If it says "enhanced" next to the description of the device then it is running as a USB 2.0

Notebook USBs are usually a bit slower than the ones you find on desktops and dedicated USB controller cards, if that's what you are comparing it too.

You can benchmark an HDD or flash disk connected by USB using HDTune. As long as it is faster than 1MB/sec that means it is running at faster than USB 1.0 standard.
