Just wondering what you guys think...I know a few of you own the P7010 on here.

I really like the small size but I've never used an ultraportable before...do you guys think this laptop is suitable for school work, mostly word processing, powerpoint, internet etc?

Of course I'd use an external monitor at home but I'm just worried that the screen is too small for me to use it for an extensive amount of time when I have to take notes and write papers at school. I'm also worried that the keyboard may be too small for me to type at a regular speed...

Do you guys think S6210 would be a better choice? My school computer store has it on special right now...

I personally think the S6210 is a better option for a student as you'll be moving around a lot. The P7000 is best if you go to an office everyday and can just plug it into an external monitor and use an external keyboard maybe. and then when flying/travelling it's of course great and you're happy for its small size. However, at school having a nearly full-sized keyboard and large enough screen to see a lot of real estate is important as you'll be moving from place to place and using it in class possibly. Just my 2 cents though.

I love my P7010, but tend to agree with Andrew that the S6000 is a better fit for you. It's only a little bit heavier. You pay a nice premium for the small size of the P7, something you probably don't really need.

If you can work with the small screen, the P7010D will do anything you want. I use mine all the time, and I rarely plug it into an external monitor. It's fast enough for coding and compiling. I've even run a server (in Linux under VMWare) and a client (in Windows XP) on the same machine simultaneously.
