I got this from a little birdie:

Fujitsu is announcing a new S with dual pointing devices Bluetooth, ABG WIFI Gigabit LAN 1.7GHz and 14.1 inch display, all in the same but thinner foot print.

Depending on price, this may give the IBM T40 a run for its money.

Any expected date of production and approximate cost? Brian, do you know if there are any reviews or news sites about this?

It's hard to find reviews for products that are not yet announced [8D]

The only news I am aware of is what I just posted.

i have to say, after demo'g an ibm x31 for two weeks, the eraser pointer is quite nice. i wish this was an option for the p5000 or the tr3. although, i've found after a few rounds with both of those that the p5000 is more responsive / accurate than the sony.

I went from a notebok with the nobby thing to the 5020 and don't regret it. I never thought I could use a touchpad, but I've adjusted and it's just fine.

HI Brian- Do you have any idea when this new S series product is coming out? I was thinking of buying a computer now but might be inclined to wait for the new model. Thanks.

Just so you die-hard "eraser pointer" fans know, the new Fujitsu s7000 comes with the option of adding their "quick point" feature (in addition to the touch pad) for no extra charge--just pick the model you want and add this feature in the customize section.
