Okay, now I'm starting to consider getting a decked out N3520 to replace my N6210 since Fujitsu may be willing to give me store credit before they'll give me my money back.

Does anybody have experiences with both computers? My plan was to get similar specs to the N6210 that I have. The main differences will be that the N3520 will have a smaller screen, built in tuner, Windows MCE and the ATI x300 as opposed to the ATI x600. Also, the N3 will not have the keypad on the side *cries*

So all that taken into account can somebody please tell me about their experiences with both/either? I'm looking for the main differences. Thanks fellas.

    Both are great.
    N3520- 900 3dmark 2005
    N 6220-1670 3d mark 2005

6220-i love screen. 3520- i love portability. I changed a 3520 for a 6220. Tuner is ****. Fuzzy. For 150 dollars will be able to buy soon an expresscard aver dual digital. Or for 100 dollars now a dual digital, but pcmcia.6220 has both options. And Fujitsu sells tuner for 300. Crap.
Better buy memory for somwhere else. And a faster HDD. This one is ****. 4200 rpm ...extremly slow.

the 4200rpm harddrive is not really that slow, althought a 7200rpm will be a nice improvement.

unless you want more portability i would say stick with the N6210, as it rocks the house, and i don't think having tv-tuner is really worth it.

I must have missed some of your saga, why are you looking to get rid of the one you have in the first place?

Problems problems and more problems. Here's the list I sent to P1 to "prove" that I was having lots of issues:

First of all, the computer wouldn't even boot upon the first power-on
when it came out of the box and even then after it kept bluescreening.
I had to run the restore disks.

Secondly was the problem of my screen turning off after it had been
idle for a while and not turning back on. This happened sometimes
when just closing the lid as well.

The third problem was over the summer when the computer wouldn't boot.
It didn't even beep or make noises. The fans turned on and nothing.
That was when I took it to Computek to get it repaired. It took a
month and I think they replaced the motherboard.

The 4th problem occured when I was playing various computer games and
the system would just shut off. This was not as simple as a heat
issue becase I checked things like that.

And now the 5th problem is that it once again will not boot. I've
tried normal boot, safe mode, system restore, live CDs and nothing
works. Typically it gets to the Windows splash screen on bootup and
then the screen turns off. Shortly after that it reboots.

that is pretty strange that you are even talking about a Fujitsu computer with these problems.

have you had it so long that they won't take it back and replace it? i don't see why they wouldn't. you could not of had it for more than 1 year as it isn't even close to being that old is it?

i would definitely go with the N6210 because if you get one that isn't jacked up it is an amazing machine, this is the first time i've heard of any Fujitsu with problems like that so dont' be afraid to have it replaced,

    my N6210 works flawlessly.

How often do you move yours around? I treat mine as gingerly as possible, but I have moved it around quite a bit. Mostly just from my bedroom to the living room, but I also take it home occasionally and to class with me sometimes. I have a very well padded bag (The Mobile Edge Extreme, I think it's called) and I make sure the computer doesn't get twisted, so to speak, or anything.

But perhaps I'm moving it around too much and it's having an effect on it somehow? I mean, even if this is a problem, it really shouldn't be because it is a Notebook computer, afterall...

    Any thoughts on this?

no I move mine around just as much if not more than you have, I would take it to class almost everyday.

I think there just must have been an issue with the N6210 that you got, especially if you had to restore from the very beginning, the N6210 is pretty durable so i don't think that would be an issue. it kind of seems like your powersupply or something is the issue, but i can't be positive, if I were you i would have them completely replace it, because I haven't had any issues with mine and either have alot of other people

Well this gives me the idea of contacting Fujitsu and seeing if I can get a replacement machine with the guaranetee that if this one also gives me problems, I can get my money back.

I think that seems fair. I'll update. In the meantime, feel free to continue on with the thread's original subject :p
