    Hi,

I have searched both the user guide and TV manual and can't seem to find where I could find how to play DVD's without booting to windows. I tried putting in a DVD, and hit the DVD on the left side switch. nothing happens.

I guess I am just awed at this beast at its beautiful color and screen brightness. I hate to use the keyboard for fear of dirtying the surface, so got a mini usb keyboard. The finish is just immaculate.

    Thanks.

Did you purchase the model which has this option? On the top of the keyboard there will be a round button which says TV on the top and DVD on the bottom. This is what you use when not booting. Its on the same panel as the CD controls and the volume control. However, its not there if you don't have that option.

did you click the click me button in the start menu? I think you need to go thru that to enable the software that takes care of the TV tuner without booting... that's of course if you have a tv tuner, if you don't you cannot use this feature because that software wont be there to start with!

The other thing, when it runs in this non-boot mode, the quality of the video is lower than during a regular XP boot.

Thats actually not correct. I did not ClickMe! on my N6010 and the non-booting video works just fine. Brian is right though, the video quality is noticeably worse than when playing from WinDVD on a Windows booted system.
